| As we prepare to turn our clocks back one hour this weekend, the Granville Fire Company reminds everyone that this is also the perfect time to check your smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector batteries. Working detectors save lives — early detection gives you and your family the crucial seconds needed to escape safely in an emergency.
If your smoke alarms are more than 10 years old, or if your carbon monoxide detectors are older than 7 years, they should be replaced. Remember, a simple battery change and regular testing can make all the difference.
The Granville Fire Company is committed to helping keep our community safe. We provide free smoke alarms to residents within our primary coverage area. To request yours, please visit: https://www.granvillefire16.org/content/detector/ |
