| Show Your Home Some LOVE This Valentine’s Day – Check Your Smoke Alarms
This Valentine’s Day, the Granville Fire Company encourages everyone to show their home a little love by making sure your smoke alarms are working properly. Working smoke detectors are one of the simplest and most important ways to protect your home and family from fire.
Smoke alarms provide early warning in the event of a fire, giving you and your loved ones the critical time needed to escape safely. We recommend testing your smoke alarms monthly and replacing batteries as needed. If your smoke detector is more than 10 years old, it should be replaced.
Free Smoke Detectors Available
Granville Fire Company is proud to offer free smoke detectors to residents who live within our primary coverage area. Our members can provide the detectors and assist with installation to ensure they are properly placed and functioning correctly.
If you or someone you know is in need of smoke detectors, we are here to help.
