In just a matter of days, our Commonwealth has suffered devastating losses. Seven young lives were tragically taken in two separate house fires — three children in nearby Lebanon City and four more in Carbon County. These heartbreaking events strike painfully close to home and serve as a sobering reminder of how fragile life truly is.

As firefighters, these incidents weigh heavily on us. We train, prepare, and respond with the goal of saving lives and protecting property. But when lives are lost — especially the lives of children — it leaves a deep and lasting impact on our members and our entire community.

✅ Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of children.
✅ Practice a family escape plan and make sure everyone knows what to do.
