The Granville Fire Company proudly unveiled a unique addition to the village this morning, celebrating the arrival of “Granville the Gallant Goose” as part of the Community Partnerships Flock of Geese project.

This creative initiative, made possible by the generosity of local donors, highlights the strong community ties that are essential to the fire company’s mission. The colorful, artistically adorned goose now stands as a symbol of unity and support in front of the firehouse.

“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed,” said a representative from the fire company. “This project not only adds charm to our village but also represents the vital role community plays in everything we do—from fire response to public safety education.”

The Flock of Geese project, organized through Community Partnerships, is a community-wide public art project inspired by our region's Goose Day tradition.

Granville the Gallant Goose stands as a proud emblem of partnership, public service, and the shared values that keep the Granville community strong.
